KD's Wentworth's Tribute

Algis Budrys was a dear, sweet, talented man with an outrageous sense of humor. He was not only a gifted writer with a sure feel for how to make his own fiction work, but also possessed an even rarer talent--how to pass that knowledge on. For years, he's been paying forward in the best tradition of our field, enriching the lives of aspiring writers, sharing his secrets with a free hand and an open heart. I never met a single person who didn't like him and he enjoyed the company wherever he went. We will all miss him.
